David Sinclair Four (DS4) bring their sharp, soulful brand of literate blues-rock to one of Edinburgh’s most intimate and electric venues. With a powerful new single just released and more in the pipeline, the band are on a creative roll — following the acclaim of their 2022 album Apropos Blues, ranked among the Top 10 Blues Albums of the Year by Blues Matters magazine.
Recent collaborations hint at special guests on the night: Glaswegian rapper Johnny Cypher, whose spoken-word tour-de-force lit up Apropos Blues, and Edinburgh singer Lorna Reid, who duetted with Sinclair on Coming Out of the Rain, a standout from the group’s 2015 Yellow album.
